In July, WRO Art Center will host the second participant of the  organised within the framework of Creative Compass Georgia – Irakli Bigvava.

Irakli Bigvava is a street and documentary photographer based in Kutaisi, Georgia. His artistic practice explores the relationships between memory, silence, social behaviour, and political transformation. Working primarily with photography, often combined with text and narrative elements, he is interested in the tension between what is visible and what remains unspoken.

During his visit to WRO, he will explore artistic practices and exhibition strategies related to memory, historical experience, and the social and political dimensions of art. He is particularly interested in the interplay between image and text, as well as in methods of storytelling through photography.
