From February 9, 2018, Agnieszka Kubicka-Dzieduszycka, curator and coordinator of international projects at WRO Art Center, has been on a study trip in Japan. At the invitation of the Japan Foundation Asia Center and TodaysArt JAPAN / AACTOKYO she takes part at the MeCA / Media Culture in Asia festival. The program of this multidimensional platform for the presentation of new media and digital culture in Asia consists of exhibitions, concerts, discussions, symposia and educational activities.

On February 14, 2018, there is a presentation and discussion titled “The Media Art Scene in Europe and Japan: With Researchers and Artists” at the Red Bull Studios in Tokyo, and Agnieszka will talk about WRO Art Center’s international practices, previous and current cooperation with Japanese partners and artists. There will also be Olga Drygas, producer of international projects, affiliated with the Teatr Nowy in Warsaw, and Hitoshi Taguchi, artistic director of the GRINDER-MAN group, whose interactive installation the MIRROR WRO presented at the 2017 WRO DRAFT SYSTEMS Biennale.

On February 16, 2018, in the Kokoro Research Center, which is part of the Kyoto City University of Arts (KCUA), Agnieszka gives a lecture „Site-specificity vs MA: art between technology, nature and the white cube” and presents another screening of the WRO on Tour series titled “On Spaces”, both of which are part of the International Symposium on Media Art.
