Using various computer animation techniques, I transformed a number of classical painting representations of women into moving scenes and compiled later into a short clip that present them from a whole new perspective. I use the universally beautiful paintings to approach problems, such as depression, loneliness or entrapment, and point to what might hide behind the illusion of happiness.
Julia Nędzyńska (PL), born in 1992 in Wrocław. She specializes in digital image manipulation. In her works, she often uses pre-existing images and through various alterations she gives them a new form and meaning. I AM happy, her graduation project, has so far been presented at the Manchester Animation Festival in the UK, Anima 2018 in Belgium, and Etiuda&Anima International Film Festival in Cracow.
