Can you draw an instrument?
You are invited to take part in a two-day workshop combining craft with technology, led by Aleksander Zid – an intermedia artist and acoustic engineer.
The starting point is a small copper plate; the end result – a working instrument. Each participant draws their own patterns on the plate, resembling organic networks, which then – through simple chemical processes and soldering – become sound-producing electrical circuits. Sound is drawn out of them by touch.
The workshop culminates in a collective jam session: all the instruments are connected to a single sound system, so that from individual signals, a multi-layered improvisation can emerge.
The workshops are open to adults and teens, regardless of experience. Participation is free, and places are limited. To register, email: zapisy@wrocenter.pl.
