We know the names of artists that were chosen for the next edition of the residency program for artists based in Austria. These are César Escudero Andaluz and Martin Nadal, who will be working at WRO Art Center on their new project transforming music instruments in Bitcoin miners from Oct 15 to Nov 13, 2018. Congratulations!
We would like to thank all the entrants for your submissions. It was a really hard nut to crack for us.
We’ve got two other options for you to share your ideas:
– until Nov 15, 2018, there is an open call for next year’s jubilee edition of the WRO 2019 Media Art Biennale: HUMAN ASPECT
– until Dec 3, 2018, you can apply to the EMAP/EMARE program.
In 2016, the Austrian Cultural Forum in Warsaw, the WRO Art Center and the Culture Zone Wrocław within the framework of AIR Wro started a new residency program oriented at artists, curators and art mediators based in Austria and working in the broadly defined field of media art. Our residency is focussed on such formats, strategies and issues as video, sound, installation, performance, programming, digitization, archiving, public space, site-specificity, participation, audience-engagement.
