MUSIC CONSTRUCTION MACHINE – premiere of the newest installation by Niklas Roy

The Berlin-based artist Niklas Roy (b. 1974) explores technology with the means of art. The results of his artistic explorations take form of mechanical sculptures, installations, interactive performances, machines and various electronic devices. In Wrocław the artist made his debut in 2005 at the Media Art Biennale WRO 05, and in 2012 he was the artist in residence at the WRO Art Center in the frame of the Goethe@WRO program.

The opening of the instalaltion will be accompanied by a sound performance by Marcin Brassband. Musicians playing on the stage located at the Pavillon’s roof, will create a musical duo with the installation by the German artist .

The installation at the Goethe-Institut Pop Up Pavillon on the Nowy Targ square in Wrocław, available 24/7 until July 10th 2016.

Two days before the opening of his newest installation Music Construction Machine inside of the Goethe-Institut Pop Up Pavillon, Niklas Roy presents the body of his works during an ARTIST TALK at the WRO Art Center on Wednesday, 15 June, at 5 PM.

The program of media installations in the Goethe-Institut Pop Up Pavillon have been prepared in cooperation with the WRO ar Center.
