Kuźnicza 29a – floor II, Wrocław

 

Dominik Lejman, Liliana Orbach and Marek Wasilewski faced each other on the occasion of the exhibition in Tel Aviv in 2009. While working on it, they made plenty of spontaneous video recordings that are currently being shown (as part of the installation) in Wrocław.

Three projections accounting for a complementary image/picture realised in three different conventions: from a bit surreal journey to recording of a unique performance in a closed gallery space.

Significant for these activities is the architecture of Tel Aviv, the aesthetics of which marks and orders the way we look at the recorded/registered walk. Eventually, it is a story about art and how its autoreference loops are (being) built.

(PL) Ważnym tłem tych działań jest architektura Tel Aviwu, której estetyka wyznacza i porządkuje sposób, w jaki patrzymy na zarejestrowany spacer i wyznacza jego naturalną symetrię. Przede wszystkim jest to jednak opowieść o sztuce i o tym, w jaki sposób tworzą się jej autoreferencyjne pętle.

Cytat z kultowego Zewu Cthulhu Howarda P. Lovecrafta, który stał się tytułem wystawy, został przez autorów zauważony w na jednym z murów Tel Avivu, wypisany przez któregoś z mieszkańców pod oknem…
