WRO 2011 ALTERNATIVE NOW RÉSUMÉ exhibition project in a complex way presents the program of the 14th Media Art Biennale WRO 2011 Alternative Now held in Wrocław between May and September 2011. The Biennale had 200 invited artists from all over the world, was located in 11 venues, and its visitors’ turnout reached 40 000 viewers.
RÉSUMÉ/ON TOUR is a selection from video programs presented during the Biennale as well as specially designed applications with audiovisual and photographic documentation materials of exhibitions, concerts, performances, talks, Biennale’s venues and its atmosphere. It is also a digest presenting current global tendencies in media art, trends in artistic practice, and issues addressed by contemporary art.
Selected works and extensive documentation of the Biennale is shown using innovative installation solutions and unique interfaces making the exhibition break traditional barriers between active art experience and passive documentation viewing. Users of interactive and generative installations may control the projection mode and freely choose content of their preference.
