The research material of my works are digital image carriers divided into parts. I disassemble LCD screens – obsolete objects designed to remain invisible to the audience – and analyze their internal logic to create a completely new structure. The CCFL lamps, placed in a corridor construction, create an irregular line of light, accompanied by the sound, which is normally inaudible. The construction of plasterboards and steel profiles built by me was originally presented in the place of the so-called communication lane in a wasted space of one of the Szczecin’s office buildings.
Aleksandra Zielińska (PL), born in 1991 in Szczecinek. In her practice, she uses matter and sound, treating them as complex cultural texts she dissects. Most often, she creates site-responsive installations. In recent years, she has participated, among others, in the Person A is looking _________ person B loves person A duo-solo exhibition in the Skala Gallery in Poznań (2016), in the Media State of Emergency: PARTYTURY group exhibition in the National Museum in Szczecin (2016) or We drink to forget the coming storm in the Galerie Klubovna in Brno (2016). In 2016, she presented her individual exhibition Bricked up existing window opening in the TRAFO Center for Contemporary Art in Szczecin.
