Since 2012, together with the Goethe-Institut, we have been running a residential program for German artists of young and middle generation working in the field of media art.

The residences focus on the environment of the host institution, and are also set within the wider context of the European Capital of Culture – Wroclaw 2016 program. In the previous editions, the artists were individually invited to participate in the program, while in 2016 the Goethe@WRO residency is organized in the form of an open call for works under the patronage of the Artist-in-Residence Program A-i-R Wro run within the framework of the European Capital of Culture – Wroclaw 2016.

Artists-in-residence are encouraged to undertake different kinds of activities, and to interact with the WRO Art Center audience in the form of public presentations, workshops or other activities that fit into Art Mediation program.
