From October this year until February 2024, WRO Art Center is turning into an instrument.
The nature of sound is difficult to describe in words, so let’s try to create a space where our subjective, feeling bodies can listen and hear.
The silence of the gallery space allows us to reduce stimuli and listen to the micro-sounds that are evidence of life and movement. The exhibition consists of visitor-activated sounds, installations, interactive videos and objects.
The project is changing over time, creating a layered composition.
An integral part of the exhibition is an open series of meetings on Thursdays at the WRO Atelier (Kuźnicza 29a), alternating between Attunement – Listening Exercises and Onomatopoeia – video screenings.
In the series, we hope to create a permanent group that will embark on an experimental study of sound. We will learn improvisation, search for acoustically intriguing spaces, record ambient sounds, listen, and watch.
