Info

As part of the co-operation of WRO Art Center and Sapporo International Art Festival (SIAF2020), a screening of animated films will be held in Sapporo in July, inspired by the long practice of Sunday Matinées at WRO.

Using the already famous and award-winning book Maps by Aleksandra and Daniel Mizieliński, we will tell you where to locate Poland on the globe, where Wroclaw is, and what distance separates us from Sapporo. During the screening, we will present Polish animated films from the 1960s and 1970s. Geometric shapes, intense color combinations, illustrative sounds and funny twists – this is our suggestion for the Japanese Saturday morning.

Screening program:
Scyzoryk, dir. Leszek Lorek, 1961
Przygoda w paski, dir. Alina Maliszewska, 1960
Kundelek, dir. Lidia Hornicka, 1969
Czarodziejskie trójkąty, dir. Stefan Janik, 1972
Guzik, dir. Teresa Badzian, 1964
