Lera Polianskova is our new resident within the Gaude Polonia scholarship program for young cultural professionals from Central and East European countries.
Lera Polianskova (UA), born in 1982 in Kharkiv. A media and sound artist. She studied history and theory of theater at the Kharkiv National University of Arts. In years 2004-2009, she worked as an actress in the “Arabesky” theater. Member of the SVITER art group (since 2008). In 2010, she co-founded and co-curated the TEC creative exposition centre in Kharkiv, and in 2014, she founded (together with Ivan Svitlychnyi and Max Robotov) the Shukhliada exposition environment, a virtual art platform to support independent projects of contemporary artists and integrate them with the latest technologies. Attender of the Institution of Unstable Thoughts (since 2015). Participant of the 57th Venice Biennale (within the framework of the “Parliament” project in the Ukrainian Pavilion). Their latest project – the algorithmic environment “Verbatix” was presented as part of the 2018 transmediale Vorspiel festival. She lives and works in Kiev.
