Oleksandr Malets is our new resident within the Gaude Polonia scholarship program for young cultural professionals from Central and East European countries.

Oleksandr Malets (UA), born in 1989 in Uzgorod. He studied computer graphics at WWSIS (2013-2015) and graphic design at the Transcarpathian Arts Institute in Uzgorod (2010-2013). His light installations and mappings were presented, among others, at the Night Media Lab in Wrocław (2015, 2017) and during the Light Move Festival in Lodz (“Hypnotree”, 2016). He cooperated with the Wroclaw-based Giant Lazer interactive agency on educational VR games and with the Wratislava Cantans festival on creating ads (2016). He has also cooperated as a VFX artist with Lech Majewski on “Valley of the Gods” and with Dorota Kobiela i Hugh Welchman on “Loving Vincent”.
