Info
On February 12th, children aged 12-14 years old are invited to join a one-day workshop with Dagmara Domagała.
Together, we are going to ponder the question: What shall we do when electricity runs out? When we have used up all our energy resources available on the Earth, we may have to look for other sources of energy far away from our planet. Is it possible to put the Sun into a jar? And how about black holes and their massive gravity? During the workshop, we will find out about various ideas scientists have come up with for obtaining extraterrestrial energy. We will learn what a Dyson sphere is, how space sunflowers could work on the Kuiper Belt planetoids, and how spaghetti can be made using black holes. We will see what artists have to say about it and, like engineers of the future, we will try to design our own space power plants.
Admission is free, but the number of places is limited. To sign up, e-mail us at: zapisy@wrocenter.pl (putting “KW” in the title, and providing the child’s first name, surname and age, and the adult’s contact phone number in the e-mail).
