A few months before the opening of the Interactive Playground exhibition in Kiev, the WRO Art Center’s curatorial team shares experiences in the field of art mediation in the context of WRO’s program activities. The approach in the current practice of WRO – as the organizer of the WRO Media Art Biennale and other artistic, publishing and educational projects – is working with the audience, and this shift from the festival and project mode has become the main axis of the WRO’s program development since 2008 (opening of the gallery in the View Street).
The IZOLYATSIA Platform for Cultural Initiatives, our project partner, has a similar approach to the audience. The May program of workshops and lectures for educators, animators and professionals from the Kiev’s cultural institutions aims to open the local environment for unconventional program activities that are attractive to the general public.
The workshops and lectures are hosted by:
Piotr Krajewski, Agnieszka Kubicka-Dzieduszycka, Krzysztof Dobrowolski, Magdalena Kreis and Kamila Wolszczak

A trip to Kiev is also an opportunity for visiting local art institutions and curatorial research.
